Designed for Microsoft^® Windows ^® server platforms,Systematic's HostConnect™ product provides the choice of SNA or native TCP/IP connectivity to the mainframe or AS/400. With HostConnect, retailers deploying the next generation of store platforms can seamlessly integrate them into existing or emerging Point-of-Sale networks. 

In SNA mode, HostConnect is fully compatible with a number of host-based communications solutions, including IBM's ADCS, HOSC and AS/400 POS Communication Utility products. Naturally, HostConnect is also compatible with Systematic's host products, including ISRS, STS/1, StoreConnect™ and StoreComm/400™.

If you prefer to connect your stores to a TCP/IP network, such as a corporate intranet or extranet, HostConnect provides that option as well.  In TCP/IP mode, HostConnect uses standard "sockets" technology, ensuring compatibility with your LAN/WAN technology, such as routers and firewalls.

Regardless of operating mode, HostConnect supports the same capabilities of remote file administration, software updates and data transfers.

HostConnect is a native Win32^® application. As such, it supports any Windows Server platform, including IBM's "DDS for NT" product (4690 OS on Windows NT).
