Systematic Restructures Host-Based POS Communications Software

Systematic Software Solutions, Inc. announces the renaming and combination of its host-based POS communications software. Previously, Systematic marketed and supported three separate, but related host-based products:

These three product will be combined and renamed StoreConnect. The immediate result of this change is the simplification of installation and maintenance. Version 1.2 of StoreConnect, announced today (click here for details), will be released with a unified installation and upgrade procedure.

Future maintenance fee invoices for the separate products will be combined. As prices for these fees have not increased, this change should simplify billing and payment.

Beyond these immediate changes, Systematic plans to merge the functionality of these products, in future releases. Such a combined product would be the basis for forward-looking development, including the possibility of making StoreConnect available on new client-server platforms.
